I'm late, I'm late....
...for a very important date!!!
Y'all, I missed my 100th post shabang!! This is my 137th. Yeah, I know!!! In keeping with tradition, I will attempt to do a 100 things post right now. Could there possibly be anything that y'all don't already know? We'll see!
1. My name is Faith and there is no particular reason for that - my mother just liked it. I know, how disappointing!
2. I grew up in Alabama.
3. I got married when I was 16 years old.
4. We have been married for almost 28 years!
5. We have 5 children.
6. We have 2 grandsons.
7. One of our children is adopted.
8. No, we are not crazy, we are blessed!
9. I am a born again Christian (dunked and all)!
10. I come from a very small family.
11. Only my Mother, brother and I are left (in my original family).
12. I was extremely close to my Granny. she was my heart.
13. It ripped mine out when she died.
14. My daddy was in the military and served two tours in Vietnam.
15. He was stationed in Germany when I was born - he did not see me until I was about 2 years old.
16. My brother and I love each other dearly - but, we are like night and day!!
17.We rarely see one another. :(
18.I am actually not like my parents or my brother - mostly my granny.
19. I always pull for the underdog and I always have.
20. I am a rule follower - most of the time.
21. I was taught to never make fun of other people so when I was growing up and people were making fun of certain kids - I never did.
22. We had a mentally handicapped boy in our class (he was actually in special-ed after it started being offered) from k-12 - he was in love with me all those years. He would say Hey, Faith Ann (my called name growing up), I love you.
23. When we got older he'd say, Hey Faith Ann, I love you, I'm gonna get my driver's license tomorrow( He said this for 4 years -everyday). He was never going to actually get it though. :(
24. He lives in a nursing home now (and has for years).
25. I think about all those years occasionally and think about how at times, I was embarrassed by his attention. Now I count it and him ( and his selfless, unconditional love) as a blessing in my life.
26. My granny owned a beauty shop and I went there almost everyday - I thought I was very important since my granny owned the place!
27. I wore braces on my teeth and I am thankful for the sacrifices my parents made so I could have straight teeth!
28. My nickname ( with my mom,dad and brother) was TaterBug. Don't EVEN think about it.
29. I am terrified of crickets and frogs!! I mean, I run screaming if I see one!!
30. We live on a lake - we see a lot of frogs! EWWW!
31. Y'all, sometimes, they get in the swimming pool!!!! I never get in without a frog check first!
32. I love thunderstorms! Only if I'm safe at home of course!
33. Church bells -- I love to hear church bells!
34. I loved Vacation Bible School when I was little.
35. I love cats - however, my allergies prevent me from having one or touching anyone Else's.
36. I have two dogs - a Maltese and a Great Dane.
37. My daughter just took the Great Dane to live with her!
38. We had a German Shepard that I loved dearly. He died of cancer two years
ago.
39. I would love to have another one someday. The one I want costs 20K. I'll be waiting a while.
40. I am a photographer.
41. I own my own studio and I specialize in fine art portraits of children. I have been very blessed to have won many awards for my work. God is good, 'cause I have no idea what I'm doing!!!!
42. I am also an adoption advisor. I help guide families through the adoption process. It is awesome.
43. I have blue eyes and pale skin - I don't tan very well.
44. When I was a little girl, a client of my granny's salon called me "little miss sunbeam".
45. I suffer from tremendous migraines - way too often!
46. I love to read.
47. I get my nails done every three weeks and I always hate going.
48. I love the way my nails look though.
49. When I was little, I was so skinny that I had to wear suspenders to keep my pants up.
50. Oh those were the days!!!!!!!!!
51. 100 things huh? Oh my!
52. Coke is my drink of choice. I don't actually drink it any more(it was an addiction in every sense of the word), oh but I do love,crave want it still.
53. I had my first 4 children in five years. I still wore junior sizes after having them all.
54. Then I started getting old - I don't exactly wear junior sizes anymore. 'Nuff said!
55. When we were little, my brother had lawn mowing jobs. I would go along and watch. The elderly ladies would give me cookies and coke (oh yeah) while I watched him mow!!! They even gave me a little money too. Ya gotta love that!!!
56. My hair was white blond growing up, but started turning that mousey brown color as I got older. I just couldn't have that! I highlight - oh yes I do!!!
57. I just bet i have lost most of you by now!
58. If you actually read all of this, you have an open invitation to visit me! WooHoo, right??
59. I do not like cellulite!! But, I sure got me some!
60. I have not traveled much, but I'd like too.
61. However, I am also a bit of a homebody!
62. I love music.
63. I love my ipod!
64. I love the violin.
65. My son gave me a violin for Christmas a few years ago. I still can't play it - but I love it anyway!
66. My mom always let me "lick the bowl" when she baked. I still love to do that!
67. I don't sleep well. I think it is genetic!
68. I loved to drink Pepto Bismol when I was a kid - just because it was pink!
69. That's my favorite color - PINK!
70. I don't like to have dirty/sticky hands.
71. I do not like for my food to touch on my plate!
72. I love the English Garden look.
73. My grand babies call me "MIA". I love it!
74. I am learning American Sign Language. Way cool!!
75. I just started scrapbooking. I've spent enough money on it that I could have bought a small Island instead!
76. I am that way about everything. I do everything in a big- all the way kinda way!
77. I love all things medical and know a lot of stuff. My family is always amazed at how/why I know the things I do!
78. Just call me Dr. Faith
79. I love gadgets (ipod,computers,cameras,tools,video cameras,etc.)
80. I always get the newest gadgets. It's a disease!!!
81. I never look at price tags - I just get it if I really want it.
82. I try not to shop too much, because of number 81.
83. I have a bag/container fetish.
84. I dance in my kitchen almost everyday!
85. I sing out loud in the car. Sorry family!!
86. I am very proud of my grown children and the people they have grown to be!
87. I look forward to watching little man become who God intends for him to be also.
88. I don't have very good self-esteem!
89. Although, I am blessed beyond measure.
90. I have so many new friends since I started this whole blogging gig. I love you all dearly! I am blessed to pray for you and with you and I am blessed to have you pray for me and my family!
91.I am really hoping to meet some of you soon.
92. I love to learn and I have learned so much from you incredible ladies! Thanks for that!
93. As I am getting older, I can hardly believe it has all gone by so fast.
94. Oh, here's one - I never liked chocolate until recently. Now, I am making up for lost time!
95. I'm really struggling here. I should ask for input from my family!
96. My yard man is driving me crazy - but I don't have the heart to fire him.
97. I'm a push-over!
98. I never went back to wal-mart after that time I told y'all about.
99. I need a big TaDa finish and I think I used everything I can think of.
100. I am the daughter of the King!! I know, I sorta already used it.It bears repeating!!!
WooHoo! That was hard y'all! I'll probably lay awake all night thinking of better stuff. But, this is what ya get. Sorry if I was redundant.

That was totally fun but I so want to be able to call you TaterBug. I won't, I promise but everytime I hear a mother refer to her little girl as TaterBug, you just know I'll think of you. Yes I understand that won't be very often but regardless I'll think of you.
Oh and get those sheets in the washer, I made it to 100 and I'm on my way over.

I too made it all the way through...I loved it. But I have one thing to say, I was Little Miss Sunbeam!
You got me thinking now, I better start getting my list ready, I think I have 40 more to go, but.... I am not sure I know 100 things about me! I will have to keep that notebook next to my bed just in case I wake up with ideas. Thanks for sharing, I hope you have lots of room there! Oh, and can we have our family portrait done while we visit? That would be awesome! Thanks!

I made it to the end, too, and if I ever get out of my jammies -- I could actually be there today! BTW, I like at least 300 count sheets. Anything less scratches my delicate skin!!
Loved reading all these and finding out we have lots in common, too, especially the PINK thing. Also don't care for WM. I'm a Target girl all the way!!

Dr. Faith... number 88 just blew me away... I guess you really can't "judge a book by it's cover" cause you appear to be so all-together, sure, and confident... it's nice to know you really are normal!! And 94??? Hello? There are really people who don't like chocolate. ;0) Wow...
I enjoyed the list and have found that we have quite a bit in common... look forward to learning and sharing more.

Okay, FIRST of all ... you are such a beautiful and talented lady. INSIDE and OUT. I love you bunches and bunches!
Okay ... now, down to the nitty gritty ... WE HAVE SO MUCH IN COMMON! But, I'll only point out a hand full of things... first of all, my HUSBAND is the same as you and ALWAYS pulls for the underdog. Always.
And, who wouldn't run from crickets? I mean, they jump RIGHT AT YOU when ever you bend down to kill them!
And, I so totally read every single one that I'm now trying to find the extra money to come visit you.
I HATE dirty/sticky hands so much, that I will not eat wings or ribs ... unless I can get away with a fork and knife. AND, I do EVERYTHING in a big way, too!
And, I'm sure I've never mentioned my bag/container fetish before, but I DO HAVE ONE. But, I also have a very low self esteem, too... must be the whole weight thing...
See? I can't wait to watch Hunter become the man God intends him to be, also!
And finally --- we all love you to pieces too!

You and I sound like long lost sisters! I have an adopted son, as I've told you before, who is AA and the LIGHT OF MY LIFE. I LOVE scrapbooking. I have a ton of supplies, but do most (okay, ALL) my layout digitally now. I use the supplies for cards now. I love pink, too. I guess it's appropriate for a romance writer. My brother and I are tight but far away and don't see each other often. I lost my Daddy, too. Too bad we can't have coffee together, you and I!

My family, Mom mostly sacraficed for me to have braces. She had to work a second job because my dad didn't want to pay the Money for them! My precious Dyna (beagle) died from cancer when I was 16, I worked at the mall and I cried all night! I couldn't help it, I was soo sad. I'm a born again christian, dunked and all in '99! WHoo Hoo! And I was always nice to all the weirdos in school, although calling them weirdos now isn't very nice!!!!!
