Precious memories of your father's love. . .makes me regret how infrequently I put my love on paper for my kids these days.

Love the kitty valentine.

My treasure is up, too.

Oh, how wonderful you still have the letters from your dad. That is so precious; and you even still have a Valentines card...
I did post my treasure too :)

Sandra

LOVED your treasure today, it is really wonderful.

Such beautiful memories and it's great that you kept those letters all these years.
Thanks for sharing such personal letters, they are a true treasure to keep :)

I will be playing along, as soon as blogger let's me get on my site LOL

Sandra

Faith, just letting you know that mine is up :)

Overwhelmed!

Darn Blogger, I had a heck of a time posting my Treasure Tuesday, but it's up now. :)

Faith, I loved yours! That's so neat that you have those letters! My dad was in Vietnam as well, but I was only a baby so I have no letters. I think my aunt wrote back and forth with him during that time, I'll have to ask her if she still has any tucked away.

I'm a bit oldfashioned about handwritten letters. I love to send them. Unfortunately, not many people respond in kind. My family and friends are more likely to shoot me an email than write me a letter. I do have a couple of friends that still treat me to real letters.

Thanks for sharing!

I found your blog last week and loved your idea and have enjoyed reading about your treasures and family as well.

I posted a treasure this week, thanks for the idea.

Your letters from your dad are priceless.

THANK YOU!!!!!!!!

Gibee

This makes me really regret that I throw everything away! If I don't, I'd become a packrat!!!

I think I'll start saving more cards from now on. It's amazing the importance and comfort they carry later on in years!

Shelly

I love those letters! I have letters from my dad from when he was away at college and my mom and I were with my grandparents. Though my parents are not together anymore, they are sweet to read of his love for me. He always made sure we were/are taken care of.

I posted my Treasures!

Carol

I love this! I have the letters my dad wrote to my mother when he was in 'Nam. I don't know what happened to the ones she wrote to him. He wasn't a packrat like her, I suppose.

Great treasure! Thanks for sharing. That Valentine card nearly did me in.

Heather

I love your treasure. I had a really good one for today, but blogger was being stubborn, so I'll post it next week! Have a good one!

that was an amazing treasure!!! wow I am blown away...I really can't imagine what it would be like to have a loved one be in a war....mostly your dad or your hubby!! living in Canada no one in my generation had to worry about Vietnam!

Yolanda

I was doing just fine reading this one until I got to the Valentine card and then tears yet again! You make my eyes well up more than any blog I've ever read- just beautiful :)
