My treasure for today is this satin pillow case. It belonged to my Granny and she slept on it every night for as long as I can remember.
It served a purpose for her. It kept her hair-do - well, done. All of the ladies that came to her salon bought one to keep their "DO's" done until their next hair appt. which was a week later. Same place, same time, week after week, year after year.
I guess you may have noticed that it is pink. Her favorite color. Imagine that if you will!! ;D
When my precious Granny passed away in her own bed, she had this pillowcase under her beautiful bald head. I brought it home with me after the funeral. I don't sleep on it - I just treasure it. It was hers and it is special to me. It is a pretty pink treasure.
Wow that is special and beautiful also. My granny was the greater than life in my world.

By the way, Faith, I wanted to let you know that I've just placed your Treasure Tuesday image on my sidebar, linking it directly to your blog. It's under my Miscellaneous heading.
I've just figured out how to do this and I'm pretty excited. :)

Faith,
you always have such beautiful stories to go along with your treasures. It's finally dawning on me that it's not the things but how you view the people in your life that's the real treasure.

What a wonderful treasure and memory. My dear MIL still has that once a week hair appt. She doesn't sleep on silk, but if I did . . . it would definitely be PINK!!
